Good book!
Great book, written in an easy to understand manner on what the explained tests are and how they are done with possible reasons why doctor orders this test and what it is looking for.
This is a very nice guide of tests we may have to face at some time in our lives. We may ask a lot of questions and this author alleviates some stressful questions by explaining the tests and procedures.
Written by a medical doctor, this book explains clearly the principles and usages of common medical tests, such as echocardiogram, ultrasound, MRI, CT-scan and endoscopy. It’s very informative and well written. I will check this book before my next medical test. Highly recommended!
This is a very helpful book from Amerah Hashmi. This book has a very vital info about the medical tests. It describes why and for what a particular medical test is used. It also describes the result of the test..
A little dry but very useful. This is not a book that will fire your imagination. However it is full of very useful and specific information about the different tests your doctor may order. This is a great resource to have around if and when you get sick and have questions about what the medical procedures your facing. Every household should have a copy.
This book uncovers all the mystery that surrounds all of the common tests that your physician may prescribe. Now when you doctor orders a PET scan, you can say "Oh, a positron emission tomography scan", that sounds great, now we can get to the bottom of the issue once and for all. Furthermore, you will also learn why one test might be better than another. For example, you will know why a PET scan might be better than a CAT scan.
